Lead evaluator of an OECD-DAC-aligned evaluation of the Master of Advanced Studies in Mediation, with a focus on institutional impact, professionalisation of mediation, and future strategic positioning.

Research Associate, Berghof Foundation

Research on local conflict resolution mechanisms and national dialogue processes in the Sahel, with a particular focus on Niger.

Chief of Staff, EUCAP Sahel Niger

Strategic coordination of an EU crisis management mission in a highly complex security environment; analysis of regional security dynamics and translation into policy recommendations.

Dr. Antje Herrberg is a conflict specialist and qualified mediator with over 25 years of experience working where politics, violence, and international pressure collide. She has advised and served governments, the European Union, and the United Nations, and supported high-level mediation processes from Yemen and the Nile Basin to Eastern Europe and Africa. Her work combines field experience in places such as Niger, the DRC, Ukraine, the Caucasus, Indonesia, and Russia with senior institutional roles in the European External Action Service and international peace organisations.

Today she designs, facilitates and advises on peace and conflict and shares her insights to bring clarity, and steadiness to moments where outcomes are uncertain.
